She exudes so much enthusiasm for the sport of high jump that it’s no surprise that jumpers improve their skill sets just by being in her company. Martha’s keen eye and clear instruction helps student athletes reach their full potential. "I am currently a senior in high school and as a member of our track and field team, one of the events I compete in is the high jump.

I met Coach Martha when I was a junior and attended the “UW Winter Indoor Track and Field Clinic” in January, 2018. As my coach, she taught me so much about my mechanics and how I could become a better jumper by understanding the components of the approach and the flight. She was instrumental in helping me place 2nd in the UW High School Invitational Meet where I tied my PR at 5ft 5in. I subsequently placed 6th at the 4A State Championships and by the end of the season, I PR'd at 5ft 6in."

In all her work, she is passionate, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Jumpers working with her at the “Flop House” will appreciate her style and wisdom. They will also learn a lot and improve their results."
